コーヒーとアールグレイの紅茶、オリーブオイルを買いました。

紅茶はテスコ(英国のスーパーマーケット)のオリジナルブランド。

ドライフルーツは英国から持参。

We bought a pack of coffee, a box of Earl Gray tea and a bottle of olive oil.

The tea is Tesco original brand.

The dry fruit was carried from Britain.

水に塩気があるのを私達は感じました。
ナチュラルミネラルウォーターには無機塩類が含まれています。
それが塩気を感じさせるのでしょうか？

2) "ランチ カフェ ミズ" / "Lunch Cafe MIZU"

午後2時すぎに、ようやく、アパートメントを出ました。

近くには、カフェ、デリカテッセン、レストラン、美容院、他のお店があり、ウィンドーショッピングをしました。

けれども、お店はまばらで、商店街というのでもなく、安全で静かな裏通りという印象を私は持ちました。

徒歩3分ほどのところに、和食のお店(カフェとレストランの間という感じのお店) : "Lunch Cafe MIZU"があり、Rが入りたいと主張。 

私は、ヘルシンキで1軒目に和食のお店に入ることはないと思いましたが、

Rが非常に興味をしめし、今年の私の個展のテーマは水で、リンクも感じたので入りました。

MIZU is 'water' in Japanese.


開店して2年目だと聞きました。
I heard they have been open for two years.

"Lunch Cafe MIZU"

Finally we went out from our apartment after 14:00.

Nearby there are cafes, delicatessens, restaurants and other shops, we had window-shopping.

However, the shops are spread around, it is not a shopping street and I had the impression about the street that here is safe, quiet and a backstreet.

The Japanese "Lunch Cafe MIZU" takes time 3 minutes on foot from our accommodation and R made assertion to enter the cafe.

I thought we did not have to go in a Japanese style shop as a first shop in Helsinki, although he was very interested in it and my theme of this year's exhibition was 'Water', I felt something linked, so we visited.

家族経営のような雰囲気でした。
スタッフの日本人のお兄さんがふんわり柔らかで、店名の水を感じさせます。
私達がお店にいた時のお客は、地元の母娘、年配の男性の他は、
北欧もしくはヨーロッパに住む日本人の家族連れのようでした。

The atmosphere looked like it is family-owned.
A Japanese man of staff was soft and gentle 
which I felt suited the cafe name's 'Mizu' : 'Water'.
When we were in the cafe, there were local a mother and a daughter, 
a middle aged man,they looked Japanese family companions 
who live in Scandinavia or Europa.

ボードも四角でなく、丸。
The board is not quadrilateral, but a circle.

オニギリ
私は味噌汁とおにぎりのセット、Rはおにぎりのセット
おにぎりの一つはゆかりで、もうひとつを、
鮭、鶏そぼろ、ツナの3つから選べます。
私は鶏そぼろ、Rは鮭を選びましたが、ほとんどRがおにぎりは食べました。
味は普通、ニュートラルを目指しているように感じられたので、
この感想をもつように作られているのだと思います。
そうそう、手の消毒液(ボトル)を添えてくれますが、
私達は持参のアルコールティッシュを使いました。
海外では私はいつもこれを持っています。

Onigiri : Rice-ball
I had a set of rice-bowl with Miso soup and R had a set of rice-ball.
The set is a Yukari (red shiso) rice-ball and one of salmon, chicken mince or tuna.
I chose chicken and R chose salmon, although R had most of them.
I thought the food tasted normal, I felt that there they aim to be neutral 
so I think they would give us the taste as my impression. 
Oh! Yes! They brought a bottle of antiseptic solution,
although we used alcohol wet tissueI which I always have when I am abroad.

Rは単品でカフェ・ラテ。

R had a cup of cafe latte.

ハロー！
壁にこのキャラクターが貼ってあったのですけれど、
私にはその正体はわかりませんでした。
遊び心なのかな？

There is this character on the wall.
although I do not know anything about it.
It might be playful?

カラフル
店内は白黒でまとめられていますが、明るさを加えようとして
カラフルなディスプレイもしているのではないかと思います。
フィンランドのデザインといえば、マリメッコが思い浮かびます。
まだ日本にいるうちに鎌倉図書館から借りたデザインの本 (下の写真)も
ビビットカラーの印象のものでした。

Colorful
The colour in the cafe is unified black and white, however, 
I think they would add some bright image so they put a colorful display.
Speaking of Finland's design, Marimekko comes into my mind.
While I was still in Japan, I borrowed books (below) from Kamakura Library,
my impression from them was of vivid colours.

遊具
子供連れのお客さんが多いのか、
経営陣のこどものためなのか、遊具が用意されています。
おしゃれすぎない点が居心地が良いのかもしれません。

Playthings
There are playthings, their customers might have many children
or they are for their children.
It is not too stylish so it might be comfortable.
